Due to circumstances beyond our control, the City of Chamblee is cancelling the Drive-In Concert featuring Vertical Horizon and the Sun Dogs on Friday, August 7 at Plaza Fiesta.

 

We thank our patrons for their interest in Chamblee’s Summer Concert Series and support of its new format, and we are deeply saddened by any inconvenience this may have caused. All guests who reserved tickets will be contacted immediately. During the coming weeks, we will explore other ways to engage the community. Our top priority is the well-being of our event attendees, partners and staff, and we are devastated we have to cancel. Check back here and our social channels for up-to-date information.

This isn't the drive-in of the 50s and 60s and we're not talking movies. We've missed you so much that we decided to bring back your favorite part of summer - live music! The Chamblee Summer Concert Series has been re-imagined and transformed into a drive-in experience during this critical time of social distancing. Pack your car, buckle up your family and enjoy the experience of live music from your personal tailgating zone. Come see how #ChambleeStillRocks!

TAILGAITING

ZONE

One ticket per vehicle gets you and your passengers a tailgating zone and parking space.

 

Pack up your car with your own chairs, blankets, food and drinks to enjoy the concert from your own tailgating zone. Food trucks will be onsite and Plaza Fiesta's food court will be accessible until 8:00 pm. 

In order to effectively maximize social distancing, each vehicle must have one (1) passenger per seat belt. Please do NOT allow additional passengers outside of the recommended limit of your vehicle; yes, that means no passengers in the back of a pickup truck.

Grills, open flames and tents are not permitted.

Underage or excessive drinking will not be tolerated and we insist that you drink responsibly. If your party is consuming alcoholic beverages, please plan to have a designated driver.

The safety of our attendees, artists, crew and staff is our TOP priority. Our drive-in concept is designed to maximize social distancing and will meet all local health and safety standards.

All event staff are required to wear masks. Attendees are not required to wear masks while in their assigned tailgate zone, however, guests are REQUIRED to wear masks if leaving their space to use the restroom facilities, visiting Plaza Fiesta and purchasing food from the onsite food trucks.

Each restroom cluster will have multiple hand washing sinks and hand sanitizing stations will be located at various points on the concert grounds.

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our artists and staff. You must follow all posted instructions while attending the Chamblee Summer Concert Drive-In Series.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests' with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By attending the Chamblee Summer Concert Drive-In Series you and your passengers assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

How do I get there?


The Chamblee Summer Concert Drive-In Series will be held on the Dresden Drive side of Plaza Fiesta at 4166 Buford Highway, Chamblee, GA 30345. Click here for directions.




I live close by, can I walk to the venue?


Tailgating zones are reserved according to a parking space. No walkups will be permitted.




What if it rains?

Can I bring my pup?


We love your BFF (best furry friend, that is) as much as you do! Because of the location, lights and loud noise, Fido is NOT permitted on the concert grounds. We don't think it's the optimal experience for dogs, cats or other animals with the exception of service animals.




Can I bring my kids?


Of course, the Chamblee Summer Concert Series was made for families like yours! We welcome you to bring the kiddos, but be mindful the venue will be loud.




What time does the concert start?


The opening band will begin at 6:00 pm. Early arrival is HIGHLY suggested!




Can I bring my golf cart or motorized scooter?


Only city staff and event production are permitted to operate golf carts onsite.




How do I become a sponsor?


Thank you for your interest in becoming a sponsor! Due to the current environment, we are not soliciting sponsors for 2020. We look forward to your support as a sponsor in 2021!




How many tickets do I need to reserve?


There is a limit of one (1) registration per vehicle. The registration entitles you to have one (1) vehicle enter. Please note, your vehicle must have one (1) passenger per seat belt. Do NOT allow additional passengers outside of the recommended limit of your vehicle; yes, that means no additional passengers in the back of a pickup truck.




Can I register onsite?


Onsite registration will not be available. Prior registration is required for entry.




Can I enjoy the concert outside of my vehicle?


Yes, the tailgate zone is designed for you to enjoy the show from outside of your vehicle while adhering to social distancing guidelines. If you choose to be outside of your vehicle, you must stay within the designated tailgate space. Due to social distancing guidelines, commingling between spaces is strictly prohibited.




Does everyone in a vehicle need to register?


No, the concert series is ticketed by car therefore you only need to present one (1) registration per vehicle. Important Note: In order to effectively maximize social distancing, your vehicle must have one (1) passenger per seat belt. Please do NOT allow additional passengers outside of the recommended limit of your vehicle; yes, that means no additional passengers in the back of a pickup truck.




How many people are permitted per vehicle?


You are permitted to have one (1) person per seat belt in your vehicle. Please do NOT allow additional passengers outside of the recommended limit of your vehicle; yes, that means no passengers in the back of a pickup truck.




Can I bring a large vehicle?


Buses, large trucks (anything larger than 4 wheels), recreational vehicles, limousines and other oversized vehicles are NOT permitted.




Can I choose my tailgate zone?


No, each tailgate zone is general admission and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. You may NOT reserve a space for yourself or anyone else next to you. We recommend early arrival and prior coordination if you would like to be next to another party - don't forget social distancing is required!




Will food and beverage be provided onsite?


Yes, there will be a limited number of food trucks on the concert grounds. We encourage you to explore and order from the food court located inside of Plaza Fiesta. You are welcome to bring your own pre-cooked food (grills are not permitted) and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). IMPORTANT NOTE: Under age or excessive drinking will not be tolerated and we insist that you drink responsibly. If your party is consuming alcoholic beverages, please plan to have a designated driver. Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted outside of the concert grounds.




Am I required to wear a mask?


All event staff are required to wear masks. You are not required to wear masks while in your tailgate zone, however, you are REQUIRED to wear masks if leaving your space to use the restroom, visiting Plaza Fiesta and purchasing food from the onsite food trucks.




Will restrooms be provided?


Yes, portable restrooms will be available for your use. When travelling to and from restroom facilities, you are REQUIRED to wear your mask and maintain social distancing.




How will I see and hear the show?


Similar to our concert series located in Downtown Chamblee and Keswick Park, we will have amplified music and speakers. There will be two (2) large LED screens to help improve the viewing experience.
